BATON ROUGE - Because the Syrian government has been attacking and abusing it's own citizens to the point that some Syrian dissidents are in mortal peril, earlier this week, Senator John McCain, in an effort to protect those under attack, called for the establishment of a "no-fly zone" over Syria.

Following Senator McCain's example and heeding the admonition given in Mathew 7:3, in response to the recent revelations of abuses against American citizens by such government agencies as the NSA, and to help prevent future out right attacks on certain American political activists by the IRS and HLS, and in an effort to protect those in OUR country under unfair attack, the Tea Party of Louisiana hereby calls for the establishment of a "no-fly zone" over Washington D.C.

“We the People must stop this transformation of America into a totalitarian tyrannical Marxist state and reject every power grab effort that emanates out of this Congress and this Administration!” Reid emphasized.

“The Tea Party of Louisiana calls on all citizens to take note of this act of aggression on the citizens of America and each of the Legislators who do not bring these seditious criminals to justice, fire them, stop their pay, eliminate their retirement benefits and do not vote to STOP this increase in governmental powers at the expense of individual liberties," said Reid.

We call on all the freedom lovers in America to stand up and call your Representatives and Senators and scream that “I’ve had it and I’m sick and tired of this Government Gone Wild, and can’t take it any more!!! And I expect you to STOP it NOW!!!”

September 4, 2014           PRESS RELEASE

for wanting to use our children as  COMMON CORE “lab rats”

Baton Rouge - The Tea Party of Louisiana (TPoL) expresses its most vigorous disagreement with Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne’s proclamation of support for implementing “Common Core State Standards”, as stated in his August 16, 2014 op-ed in the Monroe (Louisiana) News Star, and, once again, TPoL restates our opposition to Common Core.

If Dardenne actually understood what Common Core IS (and the consequences it will lead to), he’d see that his “circular arguments” and disregard for fact leaves his proclamation of support for Common Core riddled with contradictions and inconsistencies.  Instead, sadly, he seems to be simply regurgitating “talking points” taken from the “Common Core Playbook”.

These are not the actions of a “leader”, but rather those of a “follower” parroting the “party line”.  This doesn’t bode well for Louisiana, but it should make Harry Reid proud.

If Dardenne thought before he spoke, he’d recognize that his proclamations in defense of Common Core are contradictory and nonsensical.  For example, Dardenne states that Governor Jindal’s attempts to remove Louisiana from Common Core should be abandoned for this year because the Governor’s actions have “caught (students) in the middle”.  But then, Dardenne puts forth the “talking point” that “curriculum is still decided locally.”  Unfortunately, these two points directly contradict each other and are an example of the “double speak” employed by Common Core supporters.

Dardenne conveniently ignores the fact that students can’t be “caught in the middle” if “curricula decisions are (truly) made locally”.  If local school boards really have “control of the curriculum”, and if curriculum and testing are not linked, as Dardenne and other Common Core supporters claim, then how can abandoning Common Core testing for this year have any effect on what the students will be taught?

None of the school boards have changed the curriculum at the last minute.  The only change Governor Jindal proposes is to disregard the “Common Core Standards”, the practical application of which is not do the end-of-year Common Core required testing. So, Mr. Dardenne, if the Common Core Standards as embodied in the required end-of-year testing aren’t driving EVERYTHING, then where’s the problem in waiting and not implementing Common Core this year?  Why the big rush?

Next, Dardenne tries to paint Common Core as nothing more than a benign, non-threatening requirement by stating that “Common Core is a set of standards….”, ridiculing by implication the idea that Common Core has been co-opted into a tool of coercion by the Federal Department of Education.  Well, Mr. Dardenne, if, as you imply, this is not the case, then how do you explain the Federal Government’s denial of “Race to the Top” funding for Oklahoma in response to Oklahoma’s withdrawal from Common Core.

Wake up Mr. Dardenne!  To think that the Common Core standards won’t be the driver for the future of education is simply absurd; there’s no point in having standards if the curriculum isn’t going to teach what those standards require.  And, by the way, Mr. Dardenne, since Common Core hasn’t been thoroughly “alpha” or “beta” tested first, on a small scale, before the current attempt at mass implementation, what you’re actually supporting is equivalent of using our children as some theoritian’s “lab rats”.

Mr. Dardenne. by supporting Common Core, and yet claiming to have the best interests of Louisiana’s children at heart, you’re trying to have it both ways; as Earl Long would have said, “(You’re) talking out of both sides of your mouth and whistling out of the middle”.  Your support of Common Core is wrong-headed.  Common Core is a disaster and a threat to our children.  Common Core must be stopped, and its supporters must be defeated.  Mr. Dardenne, TPoL’s 15,000+ members call on you to rethink this dangerous position, reverse course, and, for the sake of our children and the future of Louisiana, help defeat Common Core.

David Cameron, the Prime Minister of Britain, made the shocking admission that "Multiculturalism is dead" a few days ago.   He said Muslims in particular, need to embrace British values.

Is the same true for America?  Is Multiculturalism dead?  It needed to die a long time ago! But it fits the Left, Progressive, Socialist, Communist & Marxist agendas!!!

What does it mean for America that multiculturalism is dead?

Multiculturalism is dead

David Cameron, the Prime Minister of Britain made that shocking admission a few days ago.   He said Muslims in particular, need to embrace British values.

The same is true for America.  Multiculturalism is dead.  It needed to die a long time ago.   The people in America who have been pushing the multi-cultural garbage have always been leftists.  They have a simple underlying message.  Western civilization, particularly American civilization is somehow inferior to others.  We need to raise those other cultures up to at least parity with America’s culture.  They have also tried to tear down America in the eyes of the youth of America.

America’s leadership should take a clue from David Cameron.  America may have created Burger King, but we are not Burger King. You cannot have it your own way when you come here.

If you come here from some third world country, do not expect us to transform America into the place you left.  America is the best place is the world and if you are an immigrant here; you need to respect America or your need to leave.

This is America.  First, we speak English here.  Everyone should be multilingual.  It expands your horizons.  But we need a common language.  No, we are not going to press 1 for English.  If you come here to live, you need to be able to speak English within a year. If you are unwilling to learn, then that is your problem.

This is America.  We are a country of laws.  If you are going to come here, you are going to follow our laws.   If you are going to come here, you are going to come here legally.  If you come here, you are going to obey our laws.  If you drive, that means you will get a driver’s license.  You will carry car insurance and you will pay your bills.

This is America.  We have the best culture in the world.  We do not beat our women.  We do not make our women wear some head to toe over grown sock.  We do not make our women walk five feet behind us.  We do not arrange marriages for our daughters and we sure as hell do not kill them when they act like Americans!

This is America. If you come here, you are going to come here because you want to be a part of the greatest country in the world. We are not going to give you welfare.  We are not going to give you free healthcare and we are not going to let you turn a part of our country into a smaller version of the country you left.  We are not going to stand by quietly while you tell us you want to break up our country in the name of a mythical nation that never existed.

This is America.  Our Constitution provides for an amazing amount of freedom.  You are not going to come into our country and shout Americans down because we want to speak our mind.

This is America.  We have done more good for more people than any other country in the history of the world.

This is America.  If you want to be an American, adopt American culture, follow our laws and speak English, we welcome you.  If not, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

British Prime Minister David Cameron has now been joined by a growing number of world leaders like German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Australia's ex-prime minister John Howard, Spanish ex-premier Jose Maria Aznar and French President Nicolas Sarkozy who have condemed Multiculturalism!!!  Sarkozy said, "If you come to France, you accept to melt into a single community, which is the national community, and if you do not want to accept that, you cannot be welcome in France."
